Groundwater Resource Development
Groundwater resources have been utilized for public and private supply for over a hundred years within Northern Ireland, however future demands on these resources will inevitably increase in response to economic development. The use of abstracted groundwater in ground source energy systems and for private potable water supply may grow significantly throughout Ireland in the coming decades.
Forschers can draw from over 20 years of local on-the-ground and technical hydrogeological experience in groundwater exploitation, and embracing modern modelling technologies we provide robust assessments to ensure that our available groundwater resources are utilized on a sustainable and environmentally sound basis. This approach will ensure that abstraction does not adversely affect our sensitive groundwater-dependant ecosystems and that these important replenisable resources remain available for future generations to utilize.
